The USDA, one of the many FUBAR bureaucracies abusing the peaceful and lawful citizens of the USA had a bit of a setback in the Supreme court (Horne v. USDA). No longer can they confiscate private property without just compensation because they have unconstitutional rules saying they can. No longer can thugs with guns, “just doing their jobs” come onto private property illegally exercise tyrannical behavior, threaten and act with lethal violence upon the citizens it claims to be protecting by falsely claiming they have the authority to do so. No doubt they will continue to violate the civil rights because there are no real consequences for these behemoth bureaucracies, but at least there is legal precedence to resist. There is hope for those willing to endure more than a decade of stress and risk everything they have worked for just the chance to preserve a little bit of what the Founders established more than 200 years ago.
Speaking of Founders, and Jefferson in particular, there is mainstream media discussion about the removal of the Jefferson Memorial because he was a slave owner. Certainly the ownership of another human is reprehensible, but he was foundational in forwarding Liberty of ALL men. We aren’t there yet and probably never will be. Erasing him from history will NOT further Liberty amongst mankind and is a step backwards in the struggle to grow and maintain a Free Nation that will thrive without the boot of tyranny always on its neck.
The aforementioned question of Jefferson’s monument comes on the heals of the horrific murder of 9 Americans, all Christians and all of the Black race by a racist drug altered turd. Immediately those that believe that making ourselves defenseless will make us safer took up the tragedy to forward their agenda. Another group took up a more noble but equally passionate fight to remove the Confederate Battle Flag down from the Capital of South Carolina. This is more in alignment with my sensibilities, though I am still in favor of those wanting to exercise their First Amendment Right to demonstrate they are a dumb ass. At least that is what I think when I see someone flying that flag with today’s perspective. Certainly it has historical and traditional value, and flying it in such a way would be OK with me. To fly it in an “in your face” sort of way disgusts me but I’m OK with someone else choosing to do so and I will judge them ignorant and insensitive at best.
About the nine specifically I am deeply saddened. I do believe they were the sort we need more of, and their lives were stolen by brutal ignorance. It is unfortunate they did not feel the need to take security measures, especially considering the violence that has historically been brought to their doorsteps. Just sad on so many levels. I’m unable to express the depth of this tragedy. It is an example of the magnitude of evil that man is capable of. By contrast, there have also been examples of man at its best at this time, specifically the forgiveness exhibited by some of the Victim’s families.
Greece is on the brink. The magician’s hand is deep in the hat searching for the rabbit. One cannot be certain if there is a rabbit in the hat or if the rabbit will to bite the hand reaching for it. The fact is they are bankrupt. There is no narrative yet evident or believable enough to sell it to anyone paying attention that Greece is capable of or willing to repay its debts. Either they must exit the European Union or the (extend and pretend) solution needs to be equally plausible and applicable in regard to the other shaky economies within the EU. FAITH is a requirement of a FIAT money system and belief in the EU has already been eroded for many.
All of this is coming at a time of great turmoil in the energy producing regions of this planet. There appear to be proxy wars going on among historical adversaries. The USA does NOT appear to be playing nicely though the mainstream media is doing its best to portray it that way.
There are consequences for there not being any consequences. Credibility of currency and governments will not survive in an atmosphere of grift and abuse. That is especially true when the “bread and circuses” become scarce.
Fascinating time to be alive. Boring would be more to my liking.
